Join me on the path of discovering and deepening your Ashtanga Yoga self-practice. In this self-paced course, I will guide you through the fundamental elements of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga: breath, bandhas, vinyasa, and drishti. You’ll learn to step onto your mat with presence, finding your center and stillness as you engage with the Primary Series—Yoga Chikitsa, the practice of healing for body, mind, and soul.
This course is for everyone, yet its intention is clear: I wish to share what has been gifted to me— a yoga sequence that requires nothing but yourself. Begin here, now, and perhaps, in time, you’ll find that not only your practice but your entire being starts to transform.
Welcome Video:
Start your journey by getting to know me and receiving an overview of what to expect. I'll share my intention behind the course and introduce the four key components that will guide your practice.
Opening and Closing Mantra:
Begin and end each session with a beautiful call-and-response mantra, creating a sacred space and deepening your connection to your practice.
Week One: Essence of Prana - Breath
Connect with your breath through Sama Vritti. Engage in foundational asanas, including Surya Namaskara A and B, and explore the four final sitting postures. Each week includes a guided meditation to bring the weekly theme into focus.
Week Two: Unlocking Inner Energy - Bandhas
Dive into the importance of Bandhas while practicing asanas, including forward folds and the four steps to the right. Conclude the week with a full practice that incorporates everything you have learned so far.
Week Three: Clarity Through Gaze - Dristi
Explore the concept of Dristi, or focused gaze, through an overview of all the postures created just for you. Practice balancing poses and flowing sequences, followed by a guided meditation that offers a new perspective on your gaze.
Week Four: Rhythm of the Soul - Vinyasa
Conclude your journey by diving into the rhythm of Vinyasa, emphasizing transitions between postures. I am sharing a meditation that invites you to find your center and the connection between dualities.
Each day builds on the previous one, allowing you to integrate and enhance your understanding. The course is designed to provide a holistic approach to Ashtanga, empowering you to create a sustainable self-practice. No prior yoga experience is needed to start this journey—whether you’re a complete beginner or have an existing practice, this course will help you go deeper. The beauty of this practice is that you need nothing but your willingness and your body; a mat is recommended, though.
With your financial offering, you'll gain access to four weeks of content, with six inputs each week for you to practice and learn. Additionally, I offer live classes every week that are donation-based, providing an opportunity to apply what you've learned.
